Welcome to the AUC Law Library!
The AUC Law Library was established in 2004 to serve the AUC LL.M program. Its mission is to support the curricular, scholarship and research needs of the AUC LL.M. program and the new Law Department. In addition, the Law Library's collection and services support the rest of the AUC community.
About the Library
Located in the Cairo Capital Club Building, with beautiful views of the Citadel and downtown Cairo, the AUC Law Library is a modern space. The Library seats 15 students, including 12 carrels within its 70 square meters.
The Law Library employs one librarian, who has a J.D. and teaches in the LL.M. program, one cataloger, two circulation assistants, one support staff member, and several part-time student employees. The highly trained professional librarian and staff work closely with both faculty and students to identify, access and provide legal and interdisciplinary materials.
Resources
The Library aims to house the largest English-language academic legal research collection in Egypt, as well as develop a substantive collection in Arabic. The Library, in conjunction with the AUC Main Library, provides access to electronic databases and resources, full-texts of journal articles and a wealth of other information. The Library offers terminals for accessing internet legal resources and legal research databases. Separate computer labs are available for Law students at various campus locations as well. Wi-Fi access is now available throughout the Law Dept.
I welcome you to the AUC Law Library and invite you to explore our services and collection.
