The Department of Mathematics and Actuarial Science provides a rigorous foundation in pure as well as applied mathematics, equipping students for further study and preparing them to use their mathematical skills in many different employment arenas.

There are approximately 15 students majoring in mathematics, 20 in actuarial science, and 15 minors. A good place to find some of them is in the computer lab (Science Building, Room 608), using our wide range of powerful mathematical software.
