Creating a New User
Profile
The first time you login to
Turnitin.com,
you will need to create a new user profile. You only
need to do this once--the first time you login. After you create
this profile, Turnitin.com will recognize you just by your email
address and password. If you created a user profile last semester,
you don't have to create a new one. To create a new user profile,
follow these 5 steps:
Step
One. In the
upper right-hand corner of the page, click on create new
user profile.

Step
Two. On the
next screen, enter your email address in the blank.

Step
Three. Choose a password and be sure to write
it down somewhere. If you lose this password, you won't be able
to create another profile with the same email address again,
so choose something that you can remember easily. The password
must be alphanumeric.

Step
Four. Continue
filling in the other information it asks for (your country,
student status, etc.) When you come to the end of the profile
information, click on start class enrollment wizard.

Step
Five. You will need two special items of information
for this section, both of which the teacher must give you. Without
these numbers, Turnitin will have no idea how to identify you
from the other millions of students. The class ID and enrollment
password tells Turnitin what school you attend and what class
you're in.

Now you're done! If you have a paper you're ready
to submit, you can do so now. When you login to www.turnitin.com,
all you need to do from now on is enter your regular email address
and password.
