Spellcheck, Word Count, and Synonyms
As you proofread your
essay, you'll surely want to check the spelling, see the wordcount,
and consider possible synonyms for various words. To check your
spelling and count the number of words, go to Tools on themenu
bar.
To see what synonyms are available
for a word, place your cursor on the word, right click, and select
the Synonyms option:
Having synonyms one click
away is handy, but Word's dictionary is shallow. I recommend that
you download WordWeb from the Internet and use its synonym feature
instead.
