AUC is committed to providing financial assistance to students demonstrating financial need. Approximately 60 percent of undergraduates benefit from a need-based financial aid program, which provides up to 35 percent of tuition costs in the form of grants and/or student employment. Financial aid is determined by financial need, defined as the difference between the costs of attending AUC and the amount a student or family can contribute to these costs.
To be eligible for the program, a student must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. To apply for financial aid, students should fill out a financial aid application (available from the Office of Student Financial Affairs, room 152 of the Main Building, finaid@aucegypt.edu), and submit it with the verification documents. An interview will be conducted with the student and/or parents. Awards are reviewed annually so that changes in fees and/or family resources are taken into account.
Student Work Program
The financial aid program also provides work assignments for students on campus to assist them financially, provide them with work experience and develop their professional skills. Details about the student work program and application forms are available at the Office of Student Financial Affairs.
