Introduction to Computer Programming

Prerequisite: Thanawiya ‘Amma Science or concurrent registration in MATH 131. Offered in fall and spring.

Introduction to computers and structured programming, problem solving approach, algorithms and flow charts, syntax and semantics of  FORTRAN. Data types, expressions, input/output, control structures, arrays and subprograms. Issues of good program design. Hands-on experience is gained by emphasizing lab assignments. This course is intended for engineering students.
