Circuit Analysis I

Prerequisite: PHYS 112. Offered in fall.
Ohm's law, Kirshoff's law, Mesh current method, node-voltage method, superposition theorem, reciprocity theorem, Thevenin's theorem, Norton's theorem, maximum power transfer theorem, compensation theorem, T and II networks, transformation equations II to T and T to II. Transients in RC and RL circuits, time constants and Fourier series, mutual inductance and transformers. Time domain behavior of inductance and capacitance, energy storage.
