In the fall semester of 2003, the university enrolled 5,146 students in all of its academic programs. During the 2002-2003 fiscal year 32,368* individuals were served by the non-credit programs and courses in the Center for Adult and Continuing Education.

Graduates

The American University in Cairo awarded 762 bachelor's degrees and 157 master's degrees in the academic year 2002-2003. Of the 762 undergraduate degrees, 119 were awarded with honors, 92 with high honors, and 51 with highest honors.
