Welcome Note

Dear Colleagues and Friends of AUSACE,

We at the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication are pleased to welcome AUSACE back in Cairo for its Fourteenth Annual International Conference on November 7-10, 2009.

The AUSACE meetings have continued to attract some of the best journalism and communication research on the Middle East. We hope that this opportunity, by highlighting the links between Arab and American university faculty, media professionals, and students, will be an interesting platform from which to advance the debates surrounding an “Innovative Media in a Changing Middle East".

We urge you to examine the Call for Papers & Panel Proposals and consider a submission in either English or Arabic. As well, as consider visiting Egypt both land of the Pharaohs and ancient civilizations yet one of the most modern media hubs in the world during an extremely pleasant month of the year, when it is possible to experience the country with all its diversity.
