Objectives:

The main objective of this project is to design and manufacture a prototype capable of simultaneously loosening tightening a number of bolts for a defined value of torque.

 Achievements:

bullet The input torque to one shaft is transmitted to four output shafts and that a certain value for torque, slipping occurs.
bullet The quantitative analysis resulted in values that are different than those required for the application of this device to the process of changing and loosening the car wheel bolts.
bullet The manufacturing of the prototype pointed out some considerations that could be reviewed for future improvements.
bullet Some of theses considerations include the materials selection for the components of the device, as well as the manufacturing processes required to produce those components.
