Objectives:

The aim of the thesis is to build To build a solar driven AC unit for day time operation before the end of the fall semester, using the background information collected in MENG 490 taking into consideration changes as they occur.

Achievements:

· Conducted all the necessary background research required to be able to design and determine the operating condition of components such as the diffusion absorption cycle and the parabolic trough concentrator

· Completely manufactured and assembled all the system components.

· Conducted several tests on the system to determine the optimum operating conditions.

· Generated a set of recommendations for future enhancement of the project at hand.
