Series II: Book Reviews (box 2)

The book reviews about Creswell’s books were clipped by Creswell from such publications as The Times Literary Supplement, The New York Times, German and French press reviews, Journal of American Oriental Society, Asiatic Review, The Art Review from the American College Art Association, The Egyptian Gazette, The Egyptian Mail, and AUC’s Caravan. The book reviews are all favorable and look highly upon Creswell for his detailed research and devotion to the study of Islamic art and architecture. He devoted 40 to 50 years of his life researching and writing his expansive and pioneering volumes on the subject.
