Bus Service Update
The Rehab City bus service to the new campus is now available. It includes five pick-up points.
All the latest information about the bus service is posted on the AUC bus web page. Many staff members are now using the AUC bus service as their downtown offices have relocated to the new campus. More.

Orientation to New Campus -Tours and Maps
Tours of the new campus will resume on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. No sign up is needed. All AUC members can attend. The tours will be held twice daily on weekdays, at 10 am and at 2 pm. They will leave from the AUC Portal, in front of the Dr. Hamza Al Kholi Information Center and last approximately 45 minutes. More.

Medical Services Update
As recently announced, a medical office has been set up in the administration building of the new campus while the clinic is being completed. A physician and a nurse are available from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on week days. More.

Offices and Facilities Operating on the New Campus
All the different offices housed in the Library, the Administration, and the Performing and Visual Arts buildings have moved. By next week, the offices of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences will also have completely relocated to the new campus. The temporary medical office for emergencies is located in the Administration Building while the clinic is being completed. The Cilantro and Jared’s Bagels outlets are open. A Cinnabon outlet will open next week. The CIB bank is now fully functional. More.

Useful New Campus Numbers
As AUC faculty and staff begin to settle into their offices on the new campus and get adjusted to their new workspace, certain facilities may require finishing touches and we encourage everyone to please alert the appropriate office with any concerns about transportation, cleaning, furniture, etc. More.

AUC ID Cards Need to be Activated
All staff and faculty moving into offices on the new campus will need to have their AUC ID cards activated. Once your card is activated you will be able to unlock the door to your office by sweeping it across the small scanner situated above the door handle. More.

Staff reactions as they settle into their new offices
Over the past couple of weeks, offices from the downtown campus have finished moving into their new work space on the new campus. Most of the offices are located in the administration building and include, human resources, alumni affairs, development and the president's office. More.

Move schedule of the main library to the new campus
The Main Library books and periodicals have bee n successfully moved to the new campus. The library offices and staff are now moving to the new campus and are expected to settle into their new work space during the week of August 17-21. The library's public computers will be installed between August 24-29. More.

Medical services on new campus
As the AUC clinic on the new campus nears completion, the medical services department has set up a temporary medical office for emergencies only in the Administration Building. A physician and a nurse are available from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on week days. For routine medical care, you are requested to use the downtown clinic which continues in operation. More.

Food service outlets begin to open
The new campus will provide a wide variety of food selections once classes begin: while many of the outlets and main kitchens have been delayed because of the extended construction period for most buildings, a couple of the smaller outlets are up and running with more expected over the coming weeks. CIB branch opens
The new CIB branch is now open for business on the plaza level of the administration building. Faculty and staff will notice a remarkable difference between the new quarters, which are much more spacious, and the old branch. Temporary delay in the online bus schedule selection
This week AUC students started signing up for their bus pass; however, the online system has some had technical problems and was unable to process some of the bus pass payments. Due to this technical problem, which is curently being addressed, some students were unable to select their bus schedule. This is not affecting all users and we expect this problem will be resolved shortly. Any student who encountered problems will receive a notification in the next couple of days. More.

Weekend summer bus service now operating
The summer bus service now provides a weekend (Friday and Saturday) shuttle between the Tahrir Square Campus and the New Cairo Campus. It will leave from and return to the Mohamed Mahmoud gate. More.
