Move schedule update
In less than a month, AUC begins its move to the new campus. The latest overall move plan, listed by building, offers the most updated preliminary move schedule. More.

New pickup points added to preliminary shuttle bus plan
As a direct response to the results gathered from the last transportation surveys administered to students, faculty and staff, AUC has adjusted its preliminary shuttle bus service by adding new pickup points. More.

New campus parking
Members of the AUC community planning to drive to the new campus, along with visitors to the university, will be provided with 2,000 general parking spaces and 150 short-term guest spaces, with the possibility for expansion. More.

Summer bus schedules
The new AUC shuttle bus will run on a temporary schedule from June 1 to August 31 to provide staff with transportation options as offices are relocated to the new campus over the summer months. More.

The university is working with Delicious Inc., the selected food service provider for the new campus, in determining the needs of the AUC community. More.

FAQs

Will the shuttle bus schedule reflect the Ramadan hours this fall?
Yes - the shuttle bus will be adjusted accordingly to suit the working hours and class timetable during the month of Ramadan.

Does "annually" for the bus passes mean that they will only cover two semesters - the fall and spring semesters - or will they also include summer and winter?
The annual bus passes include the fall, winter and spring semesters; the bus passes will also be available by semester. 

Will the shuttle buses be equipped with radios to contact a transportation center in the event of situations such as traffic accidents or medical emergencies aboard the bus?
All buses will be equipped with communication equipment that will enable the driver to be in constant contact with route supervisors; emergencies can and will be reported immediately and appropriately responded to.

Will dependants of staff on scholarship have to pay for the shuttle bus?
It is expected that all students taking the bus will have to pay the proposed fare.

Are there plans to provide some sort of after-school program for an hour or two for school-age children either through the daycare or the continuing education school, especially once the longer office hours are implemented?
The question of an after-school program will be explored.

About the New Campus

Compared to the university's current 7.3-acre campus, the new campus spans 260 acres and is designed to accommodate 7,000 full-time students and 1,500 faculty and staff, with room for further expansion.

AUC's City for Learning will offer state-of-the-art educational resources to students and faculty, and its environmental sensitivity will be exemplary.

The construction project is one of the biggest in the country, with a total cost of $400 million.
