Where do I collect my summer bus pass once I have signed up online?
At the desk set up just inside the Sheikh Rihan gate (outside Ewart Memorial Hall) anytime Sunday to Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm.
What happens if my bus pass is not ready in time for when my office moves to the new campus this summer?
Everything possible will be done to make sure the summer bus passes are available before your move to the new campus. If they are delayed, as a staff or faculty member, you will still be able to ride the bus by presenting a valid AUC ID and a copy of the initial acknowledgement e-mail sent when you first registered.
When and where can I sign up for a permanent bus pass?
Online sign-up for the permanent student, faculty and staff bus passes for the 2008-2009 academic year will be made available within the next few days. Further details will be posted in AUC On The Move and an e-mail announcement will be sent to allauc. As soon as the bus Web site is open for permanent passes, it is important that you register as early as possible so that we can be sure to have sufficient buses on each route for each time when the regular service starts in September.
Are all fellows entitled to ride the bus free of charge?
Only full-time teaching and full-time research fellows are considered faculty and thus are eligible to ride the bus service free of charge.
Where can I find the latest information about the move to the new campus?
All the latest information, bus schedules, parking, move plan, photos, etc., are available online through the AUC On The Move e-newsletter and will be updated on a regular basis.
When will we know the new campus address?
While the new campus address is now available, it is recommended that it not be used until the move has been completed. Until the campus is fully moved, all mail should continue to be addressed to the Tahrir Campus - The American University in Cairo, 113 Kasr El Aini Street, P.O. Box 2511, Cairo 11511, Egypt. After the move, mail delivered to the downtown address will, for those areas and individuals then located at the new campus, be forwarded.
