Plans are underway for updating business cards and other printed materials that contain the university's address and telephone numbers.
The change of contact information is expected to impact hundreds of publications that currently have the old address. "We anticipate that it may take well into the fall of 2008 to update all business cards and printed publications," said Dina Abulfotuh, associate director for marketing, who oversees the university's publications. "We are working with the printshop on an online ordering system that will streamline and expedite the process," she said.
As a temporary alternative, many departments and offices are using the university's Web site in lieu of contact information on printed materials. Holders of AUC business cards with the current downtown university address (113 Kasr El Aini Street / P.O. Box 2511) are being advised that any mail sent to them at that address will be automatically forwarded to their new office.
In addition to updating contact information, large projects that must be completed over the summer should begin their production process early this year to accommodate the move. The communications and marketing office is requiring that all large-size publications with a September 2008 deadline be initiated no later than April 1. While projects will be accepted throughout the summer, September delivery may not be guaranteed for large projects after the deadline.
