Fall 2008 classes schedule adjusted to Ramadan hours

The Fall 2008 semester, which begins on September 7, will occur after the start of Ramadan. As a result, the Ramadan schedule will be in place at the start of the semester.

During Ramadan, classes will begin at 8:00 am instead of 8:30 am. On Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday classes will meet for one hour instead of 50 minutes during the regular fall schedule, and Monday and Wednesday classes will meet for 85 minutes instead of 75 minutes during the regular fall schedule. Graduate courses will meet once a week for two and a half hours, instead of three hours once or twice a week, during the regular fall schedule.

In addition, on the new campus the assembly hour will continue to be held on Mondays and Wednesdays; however, the time will be one hour earlier -- from 10:00 am to 11:00 am instead of 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. During Ramadan only, the assembly hour will be held from 9:25 am to 10:25 am.

The bus schedule that will coincide with the Ramadan classes schedule is being finalized and will be posted on the AUC On The Move website shortly.
