AUC On The Move has received almost 600 e-mails since it launched its first e-newsletter in November 2007. Specifically designed to not only disseminate to AUC’s community useful and timely information about the move, the online newsletter also gives readers the chance to regularly submit their concerns and queries. In preparation for the move, Academic Computing Services is providing a series of training sessions for faculty and staff on how to backup the data stored on their office computers. More.
Food services at the new campus
All food services on the new campus will be provided by the Delicious Inc. AUC campus consortium. The consortium, headed by Delicious Inc., was launched in 2006 and will bring together some of the leading food and beverage outlets in Egypt to the new campus. More.

Move Captains Assigned to Facilitate Logistics
Move Captains have been selected by the various schools, departments and administrative offices, in order to ensure a smooth coordination between their respective units and the Facilities and Services (F&S) staff handling AUC's move to the new campus this summer.

AUC Adopts New ID
The newly installed electronic system at the entrance of the main downtown library has been set up to accustom faculty, staff and students to start carrying their IDs with them at all times. Once AUC moves to the new campus this summer, no one will be allowed on campus without an ID.

Office Hours
The university is considering changing the standard office hours to 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in order to align AUC with standard business hours, be more accessible and improve services to both our internal customers and the outside community.
Transportation to the New Campus
The university is continuing to work on a comprehensive transportation plan that will facilitate the commute to and from the new campus for faculty, staff and students. As part of this process, the university has conducted several surveys to determine the needs of the people who plan to commute.
Parking on the New Campus
There will be several options for parking on the new campus, with parking lots available across different parts of the campus. While they are located outside the pedestrian-only zone on the campus, they are also conveniently situated within walking distance of all of the main buildings.
Food Outlets
An Egyptian company will be providing a variety of food outlets on the new campus, ranging from Egyptian, Italian and Asian cuisine, to fast food.

Going on sabbatical?
As AUC prepares to relocate to New Cairo this summer, all offices of the downtown campus for the most part will be cleared out between June 1 and July 30. Exceptions will be made for faculty teaching the summer session.
