Chitra's ISLC activities included research on youth freedom and responsibility (academic and political) as well as leadership skills such as communication, motivation, negotiation, and presentation. She presented in and moderated sessions, formed resolutions, and produced a white paper of conference discussions.

Employment and Internships

2002: Private tutor in mathematics. Included teaching preparation, as well as formulating and evaluating tests.

Summer 2000: Intern, CareerEgypt.com. Researched and conducted interviews on career situation in Egypt, wrote career-related articles, and learned basics of HTML.

Fall 1998: Computer Lab Assistant, English and Comparative Literature. Trained in use of Macintosh computers and problem solving; provided assistance to students using the lab.
