Ramadan in Egypt has its own essence and culture.  These pictures

of Ramadan.

Al-Hussein   Hibiscus   Sohour
Many head over to Al Hussein to have sohour, the last meal of the night before Muslims begin their fast.   Many yameesh stores, stores that sell dried fruit and assorted nuts, sell all sorts of spices. This is hibiscus before it is turned into a traditional Ramadan drink.   People overcrowd Al Hussein to have a quick bite before the morning prayers.
