Israeli controversy roils AUC faculty, staff and students
After a controversial, loud and heated debate on relations
between the American University in Cairo (AUC) and Israel, faculty senate
officers adjourned last Wednesday’s meeting when the session was
declared out of control.

at 200 university and college campuses across the United States, has triggered
critical reactions from Muslim and Arab students abroad as well as the

New university website dissatisfies AUC community
The launch of a new version of the American University in
Cairo (AUC)’s website on Oct. 18 has resulted in numerous complaints
from departments, faculty members and students. Complaints range from
replacing accurate with inaccurate information to missing links to confusing
organization.
