Letter to the Editor:

An injured friend, remembered

It was a sad day for Vendetta, the official rugby team for the American university in Cairo AUC. One of our team members severely broke his wrist in a fall during the final minutes of practice, making it impossible for him to play rugby or any kind of other sports. It is not an easy experience to see a teammate get injured in front of your eyes and not be able to help him or make the pain and his screams of agony go away.
Our teammate, Ahmed Rady, is a not just another guy on the rugby team but a brother and friend to many of us on the team.
I speak on behalf all the team when I say I wish we could have prevented Rady’s injury and he will be dearly missed during our practices to come.
Ahmed, we all wish you a painless and quick recovery. You may not be on the team with us anymore, but we will miss your camaraderie and company. Your spirit will always remain. Recover well brother!!
