Cilantro to own 14 stores in the new campus
The Cilantro coffee shop chain is preparing for the move
to the American University in Cairo’s (AUC) new campus in Katameya
after winning a four-year contract for all 14 commercial stores on campus.

After two weeks of intermittent software failures
that crashed the university’s email system and caused campus-wide
chaos, the American University in Cairo (AUC)’s email system has
been repaired, said John Stuckey, chief technology officer.

Egyptian minister, Mohieldin to speak about privitization in the Economics Society’s opening
Egypt’s minister of investment, Mahmoud Mohieldin,
will speak at The American University in Cairo (AUC)’s first Economic
Society forum, “Investment and Privitization in Egypt: Prospects
and Challenges,” on Monday, Oct. 25 in Oriental Hall.

Students refrain from making new IDs
Approximately 25 percent of the students at the American
University in Cairo (AUC) have not yet had their new—-and required—-electronic
identification card (ID) made, said Lamia Eid, director of the AUC library’s
external relations.
