Falaki Campus, Rare Books, and Other Buildings

With the continuing expansion of the university, additional property was purchased and several buildings were acquired or built. In mid 1960s the Falaki site was purchased and a dormitory building and sports facility were completed in 1968. The Ali Pasha Fahmy and the Mansour street buildings were purchased in 1980s and renovated to house the rare books library and the university stores. The Zamalek building was completed in 1991 to house international students and relocated faculty. The last addition to the university space was the academic Falaki center, which was completed in 2001 to house engineering departments, PVA, philosophy, rhetoric and composition, and center for learning and teaching.
