Prerequisites: MATH 112, 233 or consent of the instructor. Offered every 3 semesters.
An introduction to the nature of theoretical mathematical modeling, illustrated by examples drawn from the physical sciences and engineering, population dynamics, traffic flow, sociological problems, political sciences, medical and biological applications, and other areas, depending on the interest of the class.
