Not for credit for Economics majors. Prerequisite: Thanawyia ‘Amma Science or MATH 100 concurrently, or equivalent. Offered once a year.
Descriptive and inferential statistics, including graphing data and correlation analysis; random variables and their probability distributions. The distribution of the sample means, the central limit theorem. Point and interval estimation and hypotheses testing. Students are instructed on the use of a statistics computer package at the beginning of the term and use it for weekly assignments.
