Two class periods and one three-hour lab period. Prerequisites: ENGR 261 and MENG 364. Offered in fall and spring.
Properties of non-reactive mixtures, gases and vapors, psychrometry. Reactive mixtures, chemical reactions, and equilibrium. Cycle analysis. Power and reversed cycles, air standard and actual cycles. Availability, exergy, and second-law analysis.
