Marine Ecology
3 cr + 1 cr lab
Prerequisite: BIOL 340.
Examination of the ecology of marine ecosystems. Relationship of physical and chemical processes of marine systems to biological processes in both pelagic and benthic regions. Where possible, examples will be drawn from Mediterranean and Red seas. Includes an extended field trip to marine research institute for "hands-on" experience in marine biological research.
