Prerequisite: CHEM 203. Offered every other semester.
An overview of the history of major chemical industries, global and local production, major products and their production, selected from: metals petrochemicals, agrochemicals, dyes, pharmaceuticals, synthetic resins and plastics, silicates, biotechnology. Readings from chemical industry literature will also cover latest trends and products.
