Through time cultures develop and articulate systems of thought which are particular to them -- paradigms and world views in terms of which the world is organized and tradition handed down. This course is a comparative examination of two or more of these "world pictures", drawn from diverse geographical and/or historical locales. The status and methods of comparative philosophy are also considered.
