Matrices, solution of simultaneous linear equations, roots of non linear equations, curve fitting and statistical analysis of experimental data. Probability, mathematical expectations, probability distribution, probability density functions. The course emphasizes engineering applications and the use of computer programs for problem solving. Computer project.
