Same as SOC 301. Prerequisites: PSYC 201, 202. Offered in fall and spring. The extension of general psychological principles and methods to the study of interaction with social and physical environment. The nature and methodology of research in social psychology. The major theoretical concepts and their applications and contributions to a variety of areas in the field including development and socialization, social perception and attribution of causality, attitude formation and changes, pro- and anti-social behavior, interpersonal attraction and intimacy, and the social effects and functions of groups. |
