Noncredit for students from Arab countries. Prerequisite: ALNG 103 or placement examination. Offered in fall and spring.
Three-semester sequence. Increases the command of grammatical and syntactical structure of modern standard Arabic through reading materials; develops reading and writing skills and comprehension. Critical examination of social and cultural dimensions of reading materials. Each course meets five hours per week.
