Working Children in Egypt - an SRC Resource Site - is a repository of information and resources for researchers, policymakers, action groups, and others interested in the situation of working children in Egypt. Working Children in Egypt has been developed by the Social Research Center of the American University in Cairo, with funding from the Egypt office of UNICEF. The project encompasses the acquisition, standardization, and updating of data obtained from a variety of sources including official statistics, surveys, and reports. The site is structured for user-friendly navigation through information on the situation of working children at national and sub-national levels.
We encourage you to contact us with questions and comments, and to suggest additional sources of information for the web site. The Resource Site was initiated with support from the Egypt office of UNICEF, and is hosted by the Social Research Center of the American University in Cairo.
