Offered in fall and spring.
Basic management functions of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the different operations in the hospitality industry. Special emphasis on strategic planning. The course concentrates on the assumptions that 1) an organization's continuing success depends on its managers designing, implementing and constantly evaluating and adapting a strategic plan, and that 2) such strategic planning is possible through astute analysis of internal and external factors and careful evaluation of possible alternatives. |
