Prerequisite: senior standing and consent of supervisor.
Under the guidance of a faculty member and with the approval of the unit head, the student carries on reading or research on a specific mathematics topic. The student should demonstrate achievements by presenting results, submitting a report, or passing an examination as will be determined by the supervisor.
