In the fall semester of 2000, the university enrolled 4,930 students in all of its academic programs. During the 1999-2000 fiscal year 30, 044 * individuals were served by the non-credit programs and courses in the Center for Adult and Continuing Education.

Graduates

The American University in Cairo awarded 759 bachelor's degrees and 153 master's degrees in the academic year 1999-2000. Of the 759 undergraduate degrees, 98 were awarded with honors, 75 with high honors, and 56 with highest honors.
