In the fall semester of 2001, the university enrolled 5,022 students in all of its academic programs. During the 2000-2001 fiscal year 27, 945 * individuals were served by the non-credit programs and courses in the Center for Adult and Continuing Education.

Graduates

The American University in Cairo awarded 635 bachelor's degrees and 161 master's degrees in the academic year 2000-2001. Of the 635 undergraduate degrees, 89 were awarded with honors, 50 with high honors, and 43 with highest honors.
