Same as TEFL 503. Prerequisite: TAFL/TEFL 501 or permission of the department. Recommended prerequisite: TAFL/TEFL 520. Offered in fall and spring.
Relationship between first and second language acquisition. Aspects of acquisition  from a psycholinguisitic perspective. Cognitive, linguistic, personality and classroom factors influencing SLA. Applications for teaching.
