Introduction to Graphic Communication
3 cr
Prerequisites: JRMC 201, JRMC 301.
Introduces the students to the field of desktop publication design and teaches them the basics of design on Macintosh computers using Quark Xpress software. It will integrate photography and writing in the design of magazines, books, book jackets, brochures and newspapers. Students will learn the basics of typography and along with other facets of design will be prepared to work in the field of publishing. Taught by lecture and practical application.
