Introduction to Electronic Business

Pre-requisite: MOIS 305. Offered in fall
The Internet is changing the way companies do business.  This course will provide an introduction to the basics of electronic business.  Managers and decision makers need a broad understanding of the concepts, technologies, tools, techniques and strategies associated with e-Business to be able to exploit the business development potentials of the new information based society.  The course focuses on how e-Business is carried out, including marketing, web design, and electronic retailing, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of this form of commerce, the infrastructures in place to support this type of electronic business, in the global economy within which it takes place.
