This course provides a foundation in the early periods of philosophical development, with selected topics and thinkers drawn from ancient and/or medieval philosophy. The course concentrates on two or three major works drawn from those of the pre-Socratic philosophers, Plato, Aristotle and representative figures from what is often called the Age of Faith.
