Prerequisites: ALNG 421 or consent of instructor. Offered in fall, spring and summer.
This course is designed to meet the pressing need for high level translation in all workplaces. Attention is given to points of contrast, idiomatic usage, semantic fields of corresponding vocabulary in both English and Arabic. This course concentrates on six specialized fields: science, technology, politics, business/administration, economics, and media. Course meets five hours per week.
