Dr. Rasha Abdulla is an international media and research consultant and speaker. Her extensive list of international clients include UNESCO, the Carnegie Foundation, Open Society Foundations, Internews, the Anna Lindh Foundation, IREX (The International Research and Exchanges Board), Media Diversity Institute, Institute Panos Paris, COSPE (co-operation for the Development of Emerging Countries), MeridianEaton Global, GLG Consulting (Gerson Lehrman Group), US Wheat, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the African Journalists' Union, and others.
Dr. Abdulla maintains a professional interest in several media aspects. She carries out consultancies and conducts research and training in English and in Arabic on several aspects of communication skills, including new media, media diversity, communication research, issues of media uses and effects, issues of freedom of expression, public service broadcasting, public speaking, presentation skills, and intercultural communication.
She also conducts professional training for media personnel on journalistic skills such as writing, editing, interviewing skills, information gathering skills, research methods, and online journalism.
Dr. Abdulla served as founding editor of the Digital Literacy Series, a book series on information technology published by the Egyptian Cultural Palaces Authority under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
