Western Culture |
The culture of
globalization has been largely based on a majority
of principles reflecting the predominance of western
civilization without distinction between what is
positive and what is negative in this civilization. |
|
Prerequisites |
The culture of
globalization needs to be enriched by diversity
and openness vis-à-vis the other cultures
especially in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
There is also the problem of cultural
globalization through the media. The absence of
developing countries from this global arena and
from the dialogue among civilizations may impose
certain moral values conflicting with our national
values. |
|
Participation in the dialogue of civilizations has
become a necessity |
In Egypt, women have
been granted important rights, not through
feminist movements, but actually as a national
main interest.. Despite this progress, a female
male gap still exists. Some customs, traditions,
and cultural heritage are responsible for this gap
and need to be reconsidered.
Women should participate actively in fostering the
positive aspects of globalization while fighting
against the negative ones.
