The
main ADEW mission is to address the feminization of
poverty in Urban Egypt, specifically in the period of the
increasing phenomena of female-headed households, through
an advocacy campaign as well as through direct
intervention in selected poor communities in Cairo. The
objectives of the project include:
1)
increasing women's income and improving their livelihoods
2) equipping women
with technical skills related to marketing and product
development
3) helping local women in identifying market
opportunities
4) encouraging women to work collectively
and reflect on the problem of the situation
