Statistical Reasoning

Not for credit for Economics majors. Prerequisite: Thanawiya ‘Amma Science or MATH 100 concurrently, or equivalent.  Offered once a year.

Descriptive and inferential statistics, including random variables and probability distributions with their properties. The distribution of the sample mean, the central limit theorem. Point and interval estimation and hypotheses testing. Students are instructed on the use of a statistics computer package at the beginning of the term and use it for weekly assignments.
