| Training and Capacity Building |
One of the most important components of the Partnership in Development Research Program are the training courses it provides to its participants which are free of charge, as part of the program's mission and target of creating potential grounds for capacity building. Since the beginning of the PDR Program, these training courses started in operation to ensure a high quality of the research proposals submitted to the program's secretariat, in addition to helping the researchers in the program in the course of their researches to submit their reports in good quality.
These capacity building training courses include an array of various topics and are usually given by experts in the field in which he/she is providing the training. These training courses included ones on Internet Literature Review, given by Mrs. Ekbal Sameh, IT Specialist of the SRC, Proposal Writing and Report Writing, given by Dr. Hussein Fahim, Anthropology Professor at the AUC and a member of the Research Committee of the PDR, Dr. Said El Masry, Professor of Sociology, Cairo University, Power Point given by Mr. Mohamed Hassan, a member of the Secretariat of the PDR, Statistical Package of Social Sciences Program (SPSS) given by Mr. Amr Abd El Latif (staff member of the SRC) and Bibliography Writing given by Ms. Mona Ghandar and Ms. Amal El Mohandes (Research Assistant at the SRC) |
