The Egyptian program is characterized by its multidisciplinary nature, its demand driven directives and its geographical orientation. The ultimate objective of this program is to contribute to enhancing the living standards and well being of the population by informing development policies and intervention programs. It is to improve the quality, quantity and relevance of development research in Egypt and to enhance the dissemination and utilization of its results.
